Faculty in the department of Foreign Languages and Literatures identified a need for an online Spanish/American dictionary for students to lookup words, phrases and examples of usage. Other examples of web dictionaries exists, but they were not all-inclusive.

The system allows students to search or browse the dictionary in English or Spanish. It also contains a comprehensive administration tool which allows faculty to add words, definitions, synonyms, opposites, and phrases containing the word.

The system was written for Spanish translations, but may be adapted to other languages in the future.
